I’m normally not a self-help/professional development book reader. I saw this book in passing (looking online for something for my daughter) and something about it jumped out at me. When I do start books other than fiction, I hardly ever finish them or I skip around. This one I finished in less than a week, which is crazy for me. I’m lucky to get a chapter in a night with any genre.A few things Jeremy presented I have heard before or tried to implement a different way. The way he presented his style and ideas made things “pop” for me. The lightbulb came on. I’ve been an admin assistant/administrative professional for 15 years; I am a career EA. I never would have used those two words together in the past. What child says they want to be an assistant when they grow up? I sure didn’t. It was about three years ago, two years in as an EA with my current executive, that I started feeling more confident in my role. Started believing I was more than “just a lowly assistant.” My executive suggested I go to training. SHE knew the value I possessed even though I didn’t. Since then my confidence has improved a bit and I am investing in myself as an assistant and THIS book, “The Leader Assistant,” has been more insightful than some of the multi-session conferences I’ve been to!!As you can see in the picture, I have many, many tabbed pages and so many highlighted words, phrases, and questions. This WILL be my go-to reference “guide” moving forward!I recommend this book for any assistant, first-timers or old-timers! Buy the book. You’ll want to mark it up!
