There is some helpful information in this book, however I don't know it was worth the almost $30 pricetag. This is 4 books in 1 and there is A LOT of repetive information. Also, it could have used some editing as some of the things just don't make sense. Examples such as "you should use the plainest baby wipes you can find to add cornstarch, solvents, or oils to your cutting mat" when what they were trying to say is you SHOULDN'T use wipes with these things. In another chapter describing materials that you can cut with the Cricut it says "While you can cut things like diamonds, silver, or gold, you can try to make a beautiful pair of leather earrings." I believe they meant you CAN'T cut those things and in another entry talking about making fabaric coasters it says the Cricut can cut and SEW them (it doesn't sew). I was also quite confused as to why they used 6 pages to "show" the different colors the Cricut comes in yet all the pictures are in black and white. Also, this book is billed as a guide for the Cricut Maker but spends a lot of time describing how to use other models. As I said, there is useful information, especially since the Cricut doesn't come with any manual, but perhaps there is another book that is more targeted just to the Cricut Maker and not as expensive.
